at Cap Ouest in The Hague!

Dear ladies,

We had a great start of the New Year, with 30 of you attending our festive New Year Hague borrel! We are looking forward to welcoming you (as well as those of you who weren’t able to attend) to our next event. Yet another wonderful opportunity for meeting other women, networking and exchanging views about work/life in The Netherlands. And remember that everybody is welcome: membership is not required.

The next EPWN/CW Hague Borrel will take place Tuesday 15 Februrary 2011 from 19:00-21:00 at Cap Ouest (www.capouest.nl) in Scheveningen Harbour. Cap Ouest is located upstairs from De Zoute Zoen and De Dagvisser, the address is Schokkerweg 37, Den Haag.
We are very excited about this location, as we will have the entire place to ourselves!

As of 1 January 2011 Cap Ouest caters exclusively for business gatherings, private dining, network events, meetings and other (private) affairs such as family diners or wedding receptions. Because of its beautiful location and fabulous ambiance, Cap Ouest is the location par excellence for your event! The location offers a separate split level, a spacious and bright (dining) room with a large open kitchen, 3 adjacent terraces with marvelous views of the harbour, and plenty of free parking.

As we will have plenty of space, be sure to bring your promotional material, as we will have a table where everybody can put their leaflets, in order to promote your own business. We will also put out our ‘gift vouchers’, like we do at the monthly Connecting Women meetings. Are you looking for something, e.g. a plumber, a job, or a French speaking dentist, and you need help finding it? Please fill in one of the gift vouchers on the table and maybeone of the other guests will be able to help you find it.

Cost and registration
The cost of the Borrel is €12,50 per person. This will entitle you to two drinks plus nibbles and tapas. You are asked to pay this upon arrival, for which you will receive a token to redeem your drinks at the bar. Additional drinks are at your own cost.

Please also don’t forget to de-register if you are not able to make this event! We need to confirm the number of attendees with the restaurant 24 hours in advance. When

Open Bak Diederik Ebbinge

Ghost Story Borrel

Oct ’10

19:00

Wondering what that horrible noise is outside your window?

It’s merely the ghost of Peter Stuyvesant,  the last governor of New Amsterdam. He’s not alone. As Halloween approaches, dozens of historic spirits and ghouls will be popping up in the strangest places and Lisa Lipkin wants to tell you all about it.

For over 20 years, Ms. Lipkin worked as a professional storyteller, bringing New York’s rich history to life before starting Story Strategies (Storystrategies.net), a consultancy that helps organizations find and tell their core stories.

One of her favorite shows, Ghosts on the Hudson, explores the historic Dutch ghosts which continue to haunt New York today. Join her as she regales you with some deliciously scary tales. Not for the faint-hearted.

If you have a ghost story to share, bring it along! Participation is welcome.

Venue details to be confirmed – please register with the above link and I’ll send you the latest update when I return from abroad.
